Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Denis Severnov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alexander Chrumanov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Alexander Chrumanov is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Denis Severnov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Alexander Chrumanov!
The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Aleksandr Martynov and Ivan Kurochkin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chrumanov throws a combination that misses

and Severnov decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Chrumanov's guard.
Severnov trying to control but Chrumanov is working from the bottom.

Chrumanov has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Severnov off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

and Severnov counters with a single leg into guard. Chrumanov didn't expect that.

Chrumanov wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Chrumanov thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
Severnov trying to control the position from guard on top but Chrumanov is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Chrumanov connects with a leg kick. Severnov looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Chrumanov slaps away a takedown attempt from Severnov, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Chrumanov decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Chrumanov is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Chrumanov is looking to advance position but Severnov won't allow it.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Alexander Chrumanov wasn't active enough on the ground.

and Chrumanov counters with a right hand to the body.
Chrumanov shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Severnov but Severnov pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Chrumanov lands with a kick to the temple. Severnov shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Chrumanov dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

Severnov avoids the head kick by Chrumanov.
Chrumanov looks to score with a jab to the body but Severnov is just out of range.

Chrumanov gets a takedown into half guard.
Chrumanov wants to free his trapped foot but Severnov is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Chrumanov really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Severnov. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Chrumanov perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

Chrumanov wants to pass to mount but Severnov is defending the position.

Severnov is trying to maintain the position but Chrumanov is very close to passing his half guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Chrumanov prevents Severnov from standing back up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Severnov displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Chrumanov.
No joy there for Severnov, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Severnov shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Chrumanov tries to kick Severnov off but Severnov keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Severnov is looking to pass Chrumanov's guard but actually Chrumanov recovers to full guard.
Severnov with a flurry of punches that miss.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Chrumanov manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Severnov is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Severnov tries to improve his position but instead Chrumanov has taken his back!
Chrumanov controls the action.
Let's hope that Chrumanov has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Chrumanov is punishing Severnov with strikes - can he finish him?!
Chrumanov is riding his opponent, not letting Severnov buck him off.
Chrumanov has Severnov flattened out and is raining down punches.
Severnov is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.
Chrumanov throwing strikes from the back - he gets a warning from the referee for striking the back of the head but all these shots are hurting Severnov!

Chrumanov slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.

Chrumanov is looking to control Severnov but Severnov is wriggling around and keeping busy.
Severnov is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Severnov looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment.
Severnov tries to escape but Chrumanov has the hooks in and won't let him break free.
Chrumanov has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Severnov's body.
Severnov breaks Chrumanov's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Alexander Chrumanov showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!


Chrumanov tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Severnov swivels and escapes.
Severnov misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Chrumanov scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Severnov to see if he's OK.

Chrumanov wants to lay and pray for a moment but Severnov keeps working.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Denis Severnov has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Alexander Chrumanov.
Severnov tries to close the distance and clinch up but Chrumanov swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Chrumanov pushes Severnov away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Severnov gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Severnov has control of an arm but Chrumanov manages to advance to Severnov's back!
Chrumanov is trying to stick to Severnov's back but Severnov is turning into Chrumanov. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Chrumanov's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Severnov.
Alexander Chrumanov has got the better of the ground game so far.
Chrumanov wants to sweep here but Severnov controlling him for the moment.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Severnov accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Denis Severnov has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Alexander Chrumanov is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Chrumanov has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Severnov can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Well Chrumanov has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
