Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Matheus Dutra!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Polska Krew!
The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Donatello Bradman and Bruno Hogan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Dutra closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Dutra lands in his opponent's guard.
Dutra advances to half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Dutra is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Krew doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Dutra.

Dutra is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Dutra looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.

Dutra is working for a submission of some sort.
Krew throws a strike from the bottom that misses.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Krew makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Krew.
Dutra wants to pass the guard but Krew is keeping the position.
Krew trying to keep a closed guard but Dutra is proving a slippery customer.
Dutra trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Dutra drops back looking for a leg! Krew is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Krew manages to kick Dutra off! Dutra jumps back into Krew's guard.

Krew is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Krew is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Krew is on top in guard.

Dutra had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Krew defends it easily.
Dutra has momentary wrist control but Krew slips an elbow through the middle.

Dutra is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Krew is aware though and is defending well.
Krew looking to pass the guard.

Dutra looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Krew passes into side control.
Dutra is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Krew off and has taken his back!
Krew tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!

Dutra goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Krew is on top in guard.

Krew decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Dutra, up you get!
Krew looks gassed!
Dutra fails with the takedown

and Krew counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Dutra!

Krew fails to move to back control.
Dutra is trying to escape the mount.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Krew manages to capitalize on a mistake by Dutra to take his back!
Krew is trying to stick to Dutra's back but Dutra is turning into Krew. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Krew's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Dutra.

Dutra thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Dutra drops back looking for a leg! Krew is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Krew manages to kick Dutra off! Dutra jumps back into Krew's guard.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Polska Krew dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!



Dutra gets a double leg takedown into Krew's guard.

Dutra drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Krew dives on top into guard.

Krew is posturing up here but Dutra has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Krew tries to roll out but it's too tight and Krew has to tap! Slick submission there by Dutra!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:39 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Matheus Dutra!
