Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Sergei Montoya!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Paul Tempest!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Daniel Bishop and Andrew Berry.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tempest wants to clinch but Montoya slips to the side

and Montoya counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Tempest wants to stand but Montoya is controlling the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Montoya is in close to Tempest's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Montoya trying to control the position from guard on top but Tempest is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Montoya working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Montoya throws and elbow that misses. Tempest uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Montoya's guard. Nice move by Tempest!
Montoya is pulling down on Tempest's head to control his posture.
Montoya's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Montoya lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Tempest!
Montoya unloads with some shots from mount but Tempest bucks and avoids them well.
Montoya looking to ground and pound but Tempest is blocking nicely.
Tempest is really trying hard to get back to his feet.

It looks like Paul Tempest has been cut.
Montoya looking to finish Tempest with some ground and pound. This is bad for Tempest!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Tempest holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Montoya tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Montoya punching from mount but Tempest doing a good job of avoiding damage.
Tempest taking shots to the head.
Tempest avoids a series of strikes thrown by Montoya.
Montoya landing strikes, looking to finish!


The cut above Paul Tempest's eye is starting to cause him problems now.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Paul Tempest's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:01 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Sergei Montoya!
