Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Toshika Koga (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Will Martins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Koga comes into the arena with Saliva – King Of My World blaring out of the sound system. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Toshika Koga!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Will Martins!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Daniel Bishop and Colin Fotheringham.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Martins tests Koga's chin there with a solid looking shot.

Martins rushes Koga and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Koga wants the takedown. Martins is fighting it off but Koga persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Martins's guard against the cage.
Koga passes Martins's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Koga stalling.
Koga trying to mount his opponent but Martins defends it.
Koga is working hard here to advance position.
Martins wants to get back to his feet.
Martins wants to control but Koga is keeping busy.

Koga is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Martins has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Martins!

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Koga is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Martins really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Koga. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Martins is trying to control but can't.
Martins is holding on to half guard well.
Koga passes to side control.

Koga thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Koga is trying to control the action in half guard but Martins is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Koga thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Martins's head.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Koga is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Martins has managed to free his arm - good work.
Koga tries to pass to full mount but Martins defends it.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Koga looking to hit a scissor sweep but Martins is one step ahead there.

Koga manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Koga throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
Martins cracks Koga with a solid left hand.
Toshika Koga overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Martins throws a big right hand that misses.
Koga can't keep his opponent in guard - Martins advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Koga regains full guard. Nicely done.
Martins must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Koga has Martins pulled in close to control his posture.
Martins wants to control from the top but Koga keeps moving.
Martins throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Koga works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Koga looking for a sweep. Not yet Koga, not yet.
Koga is trying to control the position but Martins postures up.
Martins is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.

That was a close second round but I would say that Toshika Koga will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Koga is trying to trip Martins. He has hold of a leg but Martins is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Koga persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

Koga stands and throws Martins's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Poor strikes thrown by Koga there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

Koga throws some wild stikes that Martins manages to avoid easily.
Toshika Koga is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Koga, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
