The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ewert throws a lazy head kick
and Rockne holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Ewert misses with a punch on the inside.
Ewert lands a right hand that snaps the head of Rockne backwards.

It looks like John Ewert has been cut.

and Ewert counters with a leg kick then a big left hand that sends Rockne down! Ewert is looking to finish but Rockne is intelligently defending himself.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Rockne throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Knute Rockne dominated that round.
The cut man is working on John Ewert's cut.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Sloppy strikes from Ewert. Those never looked like landing.
Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Rockne! Ewert is out on his feet! Rockne rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Ewert is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Ewert is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:18 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Knute Rockne!
