Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Pedro Cerrano (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cliff Pena (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Pedro Cerrano!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Cliff Pena!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Gregory Folan and Elvis Blanc.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cerrano has his takedown stuffed

and Pena counters with a single leg into guard. Cerrano didn't expect that.
Cerrano looking for a sweep. Not yet Cerrano, not yet.
Pena looking to pass the guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Cerrano looking to hit a scissor sweep but Pena is one step ahead there.
Pena stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Cerrano swivels though and keeps the full guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Cerrano is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.

Pena postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Cerrano is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Pena, into his guard.
Cerrano stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Pena swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Pena is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Cerrano drops back, looking for a kneebar! Pena looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Pena looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Pena!

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Pena working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Cerrano is trying to control Pena's posture but Pena avoids it.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Pena tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Cerrano wants to control but Pena postures up.

Pena is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Cerrano has escaped the position, nice work there.
Cerrano stops Pena from passing to mount.
You can see the frustration on Cerrano's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Pena wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Cerrano, who protects the arm well.

Pena goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Cerrano rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Pena's guard! Nice work there by Cerrano!

Pena is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Cerrano is aware though and is defending well.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Cerrano's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Cerrano wants to control from the top but Pena keeps moving.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Cliff Pena dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Cerrano gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Pena counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Cerrano!

Pena goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Cerrano turns into him and now he's in Pena's guard.
Pena is trying to keep Cerrano in close.
Cerrano passes Pena's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Cerrano trying to control the action but Pena is working from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Cerrano tries to stand and escape but Pena is controlling the position.
Cerrano throwing shots but Pena is blocking nicely.
Pena wants to improve his position but Cerrano is controlling well.
Cerrano wants to control but Pena is keeping him busy.
Pena has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Cerrano is working away from the top position though.

Cerrano seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Pena is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:02 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Pedro Cerrano!
