Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Barry Bonds (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Richard Ryan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Oh, that's a big right hand from Bonds and Ryan goes tumbling to the canvas! Bonds follows him to the ground and looks to finish from half guard.

It looks like Richard Ryan has been cut.

Bonds seems to be working for a kimura but Ryan defends the submission attempt.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ryan tries to kick Bonds off but Bonds keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Bonds is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Ryan doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Bonds.

Bonds is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Ryan defends it well.

Bonds had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Ryan is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Bonds Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Ryan's back instead.

Bonds breaks the clinch.
Ryan throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

so Bonds counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Bonds throwing strikes but missing.

Ryan is working an open guard so Bonds takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Bonds tries to close the distance and clinch up but Ryan swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Bonds decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Ryan uses the cage to get back to his feet.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Bonds swats away the attempt to clinch by Ryan.
Ryan looks for a takedown but Bonds sprawls well.
Ryan drops Bonds with a left right combo! Ryan follows him down to the ground into side control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Ryan sees an opening and throws a straight punch right through Bonds's defenses. It connects perfectly with Bonds's jaw and knocks him out cold! Wow - that's a contender for knockout of the year - absolutely brutal!
