Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Gaius Marius (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fredo Corleone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Corleone has chosen The Godfather Waltz as his entrance music. Gaius Marius has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Corleone connects with an inside leg kick.
Marius thows a body shot but no joy.

Corleone shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Corleone was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Marius on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Marius tries to get out of the position.
Marius can't escape the position.

Corleone working for a guillotine from mount but Marius is in no mood to give up.
Corleone lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Corleone postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Marius looks a forlorn figure.
Corleone trying to control but Marius is having none of it.
Marius keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Marius tries to lock up and control but Corleone gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Marius taking shots to the head.

Marius is trying to escape the mount.
Corleone lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Corleone lands with some strikes.

Marius is rocked!
A big strike lands for Corleone! That's really hurt Marius and he's turned his back - Corleone keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! Corleone jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!
