Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jake Tyler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and craig roberts (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). craig roberts has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jake Tyler!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, craig roberts!
The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Winston Howard and Donatello Bradman.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Tyler shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Tyler showed some decent athleticism there.
roberts regains full guard. Nicely done.
Tyler working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of roberts's head.
roberts is trying to control the position from the bottom.
roberts has momentary wrist control but Tyler slips an elbow through the middle.
Tyler wants to control from the top but roberts keeps moving.
Tyler controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Tyler pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. roberts is keeping the position for now.
Tyler stops roberts from standing up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

roberts preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Tyler throws a big right hand that misses.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

roberts scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Tyler throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Tyler looks for a takedown but roberts sprawls well.
roberts stuffs the takedown attempt from Tyler. Tyler gets slowly back to his feet.
Tyler has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
roberts keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jake Tyler. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Tyler throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around roberts's waist but roberts gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Tyler off to one side.

roberts fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Tyler is out of range.

Tyler decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Tyler has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Tyler is looking for a kimura but roberts is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Tyler to get the leverage.

Tyler winds up and cracks roberts with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
roberts is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Tyler could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
roberts wants to control but Tyler is keeping busy.
Tyler stops roberts from getting back to his feet.
Still in half guard, Tyler seems content to control.

Tyler has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
roberts wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.
roberts looks gassed!
Tyler wants to control the pace but roberts is squirming around nicely.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Tyler breaks from roberts's wrist control and lands an elbow.

Tyler wants to control but instead roberts manages to regain half guard.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jake Tyler dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

roberts gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Tyler is in close to roberts's body, working some short punches and elbows.

Tyler is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! roberts is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! roberts has escaped and now he's on top!
roberts wants to get up but he can't break Tyler's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Tyler manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. roberts manages to get himself to full guard.
Tyler seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Tyler drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but roberts manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Tyler has roberts in his guard.

Tyler has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. roberts doesn't defend quickly enough and Tyler has managed to lock this one up! Can roberts escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Tyler on a fantastic submission victory.
