Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Adams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gokhan Saki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, John Adams!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Gokhan Saki!
The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Wagner Zegers and Patrick Alders.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Adams has his takedown stuffed

and Saki counters with a flying knee that drops Adams!
Adams is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Saki is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Adams is positioning himself well to prevent Saki advancing to mount.

Saki seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Adams does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Saki is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Adams can't escape the position.

Adams bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

Saki has worked his way to half guard, taking advantage of Adams's lack of action.

Adams thows a big elbow that misses, also allowing Saki to regain full guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Saki has momentary wrist control but Adams slips an elbow through the middle.
Adams throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Saki utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Saki leaves Adams with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Saki gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Adams to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Adams postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Saki is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Adams, into his guard.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Adams is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Saki defends well.

Adams has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Saki is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Adams.
Adams is trying to control Saki's posture but Saki avoids it.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Saki avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Adams keeping moving, preventing Saki from controlling successfully.

Adams has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Saki can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Saki got a little sloppy there for a moment and Adams has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Saki has managed to get both his arms back between Adams's legs - danger averted.

Saki is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Adams looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Saki is defending well. Adams quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Saki has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Adams celebrates on the ropes, with the crowd.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:31 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). John Adams!
