Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Shinaya Ako Bruaa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chad Brewster (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brewster has chosen Way of the Fist as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Shinaya Ako Bruaa!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Chad Brewster!
The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Hirohito Nitta.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bruaa misses with a few strikes there.
Brewster throws a chopping leg kick but Bruaa manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
The fighters circle momentarily. Bruaa darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Brewster throws a body punch but Bruaa moves out of range.

Bruaa looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Brewster!
Brewster tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Brewster escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Bruaa gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Bruaa sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Brewster's guard.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Brewster is on top in guard.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Bruaa feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
