The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ribrisko blocks a jab.
Grande has his takedown stuffed
and Ribrisko counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Grande!
Grande stops Ribrisko from taking his back. Still, being mounted isn't any better.
Grande is wriggling around trying to escape.
Ribrisko is working for a guillotine from mount but Grande frees his head quite easily.
Grande can't escape the position.
Ribrisko is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Grande has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Grande!
Grande is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Ribrisko has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Grande is looking to defend but Ribrisko has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Grande! Ribrisko pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Grande taps out and this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:54 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Japovisky Ribrisko!
