Santo Montoya's entrance music is Theme From Jaws. A fine choice. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Santo Montoya tries to clinch but Stevens is having none of it.

Santo Montoya takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Stevens throws a poor cross that misses
and Santo Montoya counters with a head kick. That will keep Stevens thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!
Stevens thows a left - swing and a miss!
Stevens leaves Santo Montoya with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Stevens paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Santo Montoya is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

A slow jab from Stevens misses its intended target.

Santo Montoya tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Stevens paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Ron Stevens is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

and Santo Montoya counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Stevens!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

You get the feeling that Stevens really doesn't like being in this position too much.

Santo Montoya has control of Stevens's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Stevens regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Santo Montoya throws a strike aimed at the side of Stevens's head but Stevens avoids it well.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Santo Montoya lands a nice forearm strike.
Stevens is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Santo Montoya asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Santo Montoya has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Santo Montoya is looking to take a break and control but Stevens is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Arestotle Santo Montoya will probably get the nod.

Stevens throws a right and a left that both miss.

Santo Montoya misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

and Stevens cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Stevens keeps the fight on the outside.
Santo Montoya fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Santo Montoya throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Stevens.
Stevens uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.

Stevens rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Santo Montoya moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Stevens lands a left and a right that send Santo Montoya crashing to the mat, dazed. Stevens thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

and Santo Montoya counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Santo Montoya shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Stevens pinned against the cage. Stevens gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Arestotle Santo Montoya. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Stevens throws a series of punches but Santo Montoya avoids them all with ease.
Santo Montoya seems to be squinting his left eye. Perhaps he got a poke in that previous exchange. Stevens shows no mercy and swarms him with a barage of strikes! Santo Montoya is backing up but Stevens catches him with a final right hook that drops him! Santo Montoya covers up and the referee steps in to end the fight! Stevens Jumps to his feet and flashes his guns to the crowd. Oh yeah, baby! How'd you like them apples?!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:46 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ron Stevens!
