The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nijmeijer tries to clinch but Felt moves out of range.

and Felt counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Felt sitting and controlling from the half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Joe Felt wasn't active enough on the ground.
Both fighters circling a little - Nijmeijer finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.

Nijmeijer lands a big uppercut and Felt crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Felt looks OK. Nijmeijer waves Felt back to his feet!
Felt looks gassed!

Felt throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Nijmeijer was covering up waiting for the punch and Felt finishes the takedown easily into guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Felt stops Nijmeijer from standing up.
Felt stays in close to Nijmeijer's body and controls the position.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Joe Felt hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
A nice leg kick lands there from Nijmeijer.

Nijmeijer thumps Felt with a low kick.

Nijmeijer feints and then cracks Felt's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Felt down.
Nijmeijer throws a leg kick which misses Felt's front leg but catches the back leg as Felt tries to avoid it.
Mayo Nijmeijer is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
The fighters circle, before Nijmeijer throws a beautiful high kick that crashes into Felt's neck, sending him stumbling to the floor! Nijmeijer lands more strikes and forces a referee stoppage! That one ended in an instant!
