Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Don Golf!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, No Chance!
The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Ivan Kurochkin and Dmitry Maklakov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Golf defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Chance.
Chance checks a leg kick.
Chance's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Chance duly obliges.
Chance moves out of range of the leg kick from Golf.
Golf throws a head kick that half lands.
Golf throws a hook but Chance blocks it.
Golf misses with a head kick.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Golf.
Chance changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Golf tries to avoid it but Chance manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Golf to the ground. Golf escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Chance shoots in and gets a takedown into Golf's guard.
Chance trying to control but Golf is working from the bottom.
Golf wants to stand up but Chance is controlling him.

Chance drops back looking for a leg! Golf is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Golf manages to kick Chance off! Chance jumps back into Golf's guard.
Chance stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Golf swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Golf preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.

Chance prevents Golf from getting back to his feet.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Chance swings away with a body shot that misses
and Golf connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
No Chance seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Golf shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Chance eats them both and turns towards Golf to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Chance connects with a leg kick. Golf looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Chance looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Chance throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Golf was covering up waiting for the punch and Chance finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Golf throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Chance stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Chance drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Golf manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Chance has Golf in his guard.
No Chance has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Chance working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Golf doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Golf manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
