The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barnett throws a right hand that Munch ducks under and follows up with a left that Munch also avoids with ease.
Barnett does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Munch pivots, looking for a leg kick but Barnett is out of range and Munch settles back down.
Munch takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Munch looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Barnett misses with a hook to the body

and Munch counters with a single leg into guard. Barnett didn't expect that.

Barnett had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Munch defends it easily.

Munch lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Munch must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
