Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Louie Mendez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Piotr Baginski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Anni Minnemäki and Arvi Lind.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mendez tries to clinch
and Baginski counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

so Baginski counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Baginski pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Mendez is keeping the position for now.
Baginski thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Baginski drops back looking for a leg! Mendez is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Mendez manages to kick Baginski off! Baginski jumps back into Mendez's guard.

Baginski goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Mendez has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Baginski but great work by Mendez.

Mendez looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Baginski with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
