The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Scott.
Ramsey slips a jab and a cross from Scott.
Ramsey shoots in looking for a takedown but Scott manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Ramsey's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Scott misses with an uppercut.
Scott tries to land a front kick but Ramsey steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Scott lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Scott looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
No luck for Ramsey with that takedown attempt.
Scott thows a body shot but no joy.
Scott pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Scott lands with a nice body punch.

Ramsey shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Ramsey was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Scott manages to regain half guard. Good work.

Ramsey wants to work for an arm triangle but Scott is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Scott has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Ramsey is working away from the top position though.
