Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Paul White (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gabriel Gonzaga (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gonzaga has chosen Danzig - Mother as his entrance music. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Paul White!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Gabriel Gonzaga!
The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Matheus Silva and Thiago Cunha.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
White tries to close the distance and clinch but Gonzaga swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Gonzaga is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in White's half guard.
Gonzaga seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but White does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Gabriel Gonzaga hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Gonzaga throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. White was covering up waiting for the punch and Gonzaga finishes the takedown easily into guard.

and Gonzaga counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in White's guard now.

Gonzaga looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but White puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
White looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

We're going to have a standup here because Paul White wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Gonzaga tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. White manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

White feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
White is fighting to break Gonzaga's control of his arms but Gonzaga is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Gonzaga manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
White keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

White throws some wild stikes that Gonzaga manages to avoid easily.
Gonzaga is looking to improve his position but White isn't that keen on the idea.
Gonzaga has given up his back, trying to stand up. Not clever.

White throws a big right hand but he misses and hits the mat. Ouch.

White doesn't have the hooks in and Gonzaga manages to turn into his guard.

Gonzaga has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but White can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

That was a close second round but I would say that Paul White will probably get the nod.
