Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Markus Mac (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pekka Routalempi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Markus Mac is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mac moves out of range as Routalempi strikes.

Routalempi has closed the distance and engaged Mac in a clinch.
Mac is trying to break the clinch but Routalempi has him pressed against the cage.

Mac moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

and Mac decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Routalempi's guard.

Mac postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Routalempi is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Mac, into his guard.

Mac is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Routalempi stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Mac swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Routalempi seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Mac wants to control but Routalempi is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

That was a close round but I would say that Markus Mac will probably get the nod.

Mac has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Routalempi can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Mac escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Routalempi gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

That's time! Mac's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Mac uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Routalempi.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
