Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alexander Chrumanov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rocko Slavich (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chrumanov comes to the cage accompanied by ...When Gjallarhorn Will Sound. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chrumanov tries for a takedown but Slavich circles away easily

and Slavich counters with a single leg into guard. Chrumanov didn't expect that.
Chrumanov can't keep his opponent in guard - Slavich advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Still in half guard, Slavich seems content to control.
Slavich seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Chrumanov does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Slavich decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.
Slavich shoots in but Chrumanov avoids the takedown attempt easily.

and Chrumanov counters by clinching up.
Slavich tries to pull guard but Chrumanov holds him up against the cage and eventually Slavich drops back down to his feet.

Slavich feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Rocko Slavich was stalling too much, according to the referee.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Rocko Slavich has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.

Slavich takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Slavich shoots for a double leg takedown but Chrumanov sprawls well. He's pushed Slavich's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Chrumanov is trying to drag Slavich to the mat but Slavich just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Chrumanov postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Slavich is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Chrumanov, into his guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
