The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Heathen throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Vaughn's head.

It looks like Chris Vaughn has been cut.

Heathen gets a takedown into half guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Vaughn tries to get to full guard but Heathen has control of the leg.

Vaughn is defending against the submission attempts here by Heathen.
Vaughn is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Heathen keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
Heathen is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!

Heathen swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Vaughn is now in Heathen's guard. A big mistake from Heathen there, giving up the dominant position!

Heathen has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Vaughn can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Heathen lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Vaughn!
Heathen with a couple of short strikes.

Heathen goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Vaughn turns into him and now he's in Heathen's guard.
Heathen looking to hit a scissor sweep but Vaughn is one step ahead there.

Heathen has his foot on Vaughn's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Vaughn works his way back into a safe position though.
Vaughn really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Heathen. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Heathen looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Vaughn is defending well. Heathen quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Vaughn has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Heathen celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
