The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, David Schapiro and Dean Styles.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Davis doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Johnson counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Davis throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Johnson counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Johnson.
Davis tries to pull guard but Johnson won't allow it.
Johnson makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
A bit of stalling here from Johnson.
A short left from Johnson.
A right hand to the body from Johnson.
Davis avoiding damage as Johnson throws knees to the body.
Johnson lands a left hand.
Johnson lands with a right to the head.
Davis has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Johnson is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Casey Johnson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Marcus Davis.
Johnson lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Davis backwards.
Davis tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Davis tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Johnson just stands there and leans against the cage.
Johnson lands a nice shot to the body.
Davis tries to pull guard but Johnson won't allow it.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Davis fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Johnson digs a right hand underneath Davis's ribcage. Davis let out a lung full of air as it connected.

Johnson working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely.

Davis looks gassed!

Davis tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Johnson smiles and moves away.
Davis swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Davis takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Davis is rocked!
Johnson drives through and clinches with Davis against the cage.
Davis is still on wobbly legs! Can Johnson finish him?
A nice left hand lands by Johnson.
Johnson lands an uppercut in the clinch that drops Davis to his knees! Johnson keeps firing more shots against his stricken opponent and the referee jumps in to save him!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Casey Johnson!
