Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Noel James (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wang Chung (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). James comes into the arena with Whats New pussy Cat by Tom Jones blaring out of the sound system. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 8 - 0, fighting out of London, Noel James!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Wang Chung!
The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Valeri Chadov and Illya Tyunina.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A slow jab from James misses its intended target.
James throws out a powerful jab.
Donk. James catches Chung right on the button with a cross.
Chung wants to clinch but James slips to the side
and James connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Chung tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Chung fails in his attempt to clinch.
James scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
James thows a left - swing and a miss!

and James makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
James throws a jab but it's blocked by Chung.

and James counters with a right hand to the body.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Chung has a pretty nasty looking mouse under his right eye.
James sizes up Chung with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
James lands with an overhand left.

Chung walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

James scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

Noel James dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


A combination from Chung does no damage.
Chung is on the wrong end of a nice combination from James.

and James counters with a nice right hand that sends Chung toppling to the canvas! Chung scrambles and gets back to his feet - can James finish him?!

Wang Chung seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
James paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts James, as that shot connected.

Chung is breathing heavily.
Chung walks into a stiff left hand from James.
Wang Chung is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Chung takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

letting James counter with a right hand.
James is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
Chung moves out of range as James strikes.
James stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

and James counters with a left and a right that stings Chung.
Chung takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
James's corner calls for a 1-2. James obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
James's jab looks to have found its range, popping Chung under the eye.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

With the two fighters working up against the cage, Chung just misses with a elbow thrown towards James's brow.

Chung moves forwards but James connects with a nice, crisp jab.

Chung has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Chung there as he acknowledges the shot.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Noel James showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for James, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
