Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Spanky Panky!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Tsuda Suzuki!
The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Shirou Masuda and Yuuki Gou.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Panky fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Panky throws a leg kick
and Suzuki counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.

Panky closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Suzuki's guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Suzuki working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Panky doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Panky manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Panky got a little sloppy there for a moment and Suzuki has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Panky has managed to get both his arms back between Suzuki's legs - danger averted.

That was a close round but I would say that Spanky Panky will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Panky is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Suzuki's half guard.

and Suzuki counters with a crisp one two that drops Panky! Suzuki thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Panky to his feet! Panky is in big trouble!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

That was a close second round but I would say that Spanky Panky will probably get the nod.
That's time! Panky's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Panky is taking a breather. Suzuki says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Suzuki wants to improve his position but Panky is controlling well.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Panky in particular looking to stall.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Suzuki is on top in guard.
Spanky Panky overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Panky on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Panky tries to get out of the position.

Panky darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Suzuki is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Panky's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Panky's back!

Panky has hold of Suzuki's arm. He needs to escape this position sooner or later but for now he's happy enough to control the position and prevent the submission attempts.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Panky, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
