Nicodemo comes to the cage accompanied by Astral Projection / Soundform. Pekkarinen is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Rydin. Mauri Pekkarinen looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, John Roberts and Dean Styles.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pekkarinen shoots in looking for a takedown. Nicodemo tries to sprawl out of it but Pekkarinen keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Nicodemo manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
The fighters circling - Pekkarinen throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Nicodemo bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Nicodemo avoids the head kick by Pekkarinen.
Nicodemo fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Nicodemo's corner calls for a 1-2. Nicodemo obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Pekkarinen throws a right and a left that both miss.
Pekkarinen looks gassed!
Nicodemo drops Pekkarinen with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Pekkarinen looks back up at him and smiles so Nicodemo waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Pekkarinen is rocked!
Nicodemo connects with a body shot.
Pekkarinen is still on wobbly legs! Can Nicodemo finish him?
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Nicodemo digs a good body shot into Pekkarinen's ribs.
Pekkarinen seems to have recovered his senses.
Nicodemo lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Pekkarinen circles away quickly and effectively.
Nicodemo drops Pekkarinen with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Pekkarinen looks back up at him and smiles so Nicodemo waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Nicodemo throws an overhand right that drops Pekkarinen like a sack of potatoes! Nicodemo dives in to finish the fight with more strikes and this one is all over!
