Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Marcus Falaris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ron Mexico (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Falaris's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Single Ladies - Brazilian Version. Mexico has chosen I want war as his entrance music. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Marcus Falaris!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ron Mexico!
The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Anthony Taglia and Bruno Lombardi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mexico throws a poor cross that misses
and Falaris counters with a head kick. That will keep Mexico thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!
Mexico throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Falaris connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Falaris connects with a leg kick. Mexico looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
A head kick by Falaris misses
and Mexico counters with a nice uppercut.
Falaris throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Mexico throws an off balance right hand
and Falaris counters with a left to the body.

Mexico on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Falaris. Falaris obviously looking to wear him down.
Mexico has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Falaris.
A telegraphed right hand from Mexico misses the target.

and Falaris counters with a lovely shot to the body.

Falaris throws a front kick that sends Mexico stumbling back into the cage.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Mexico, as that shot connected.
Mexico misses with a right hand
and Falaris counters with a head kick.
Falaris tried to score with a low kick but Mexico checks it.
Falaris tries to work over Mexico's front leg with a kick but Mexico checks it.

Falaris explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
That kick from Falaris tenderised Mexico's leg. Mexico is trying to keep his angry face on.
Falaris looks to land a body kick but Mexico moved away.
Falaris connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.

and Falaris counters with a flying knee. Nice.
Falaris tries a low kick but Mexico avoids it.

Mexico jabs Falaris to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Falaris cracks Mexico with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Falaris lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
Mexico misses with a left hand
and Falaris counters with a big head kick but Mexico shrugs it off.
Falaris lands with a good body shot.
Marcus Falaris is winning the standup battle so far.

and Falaris counters with a good, hard body kick but Mexico shrugs it off.

Falaris throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Falaris looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Falaris dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Mexico. That did some damage!

Falaris throws a body punch but Mexico moves out of range.

A slapping leg kick lands for Falaris.
Mexico misses with an uppercut
and Falaris counters with a nice kick to the body.

Falaris throws a hook but Mexico avoids it easily.
Mexico is really struggling to land any decent head shots against his taller opponent.
Falaris turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.

Mexico throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Falaris, right into the meat.
Falaris really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Falaris fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Mexico is out of range.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Marcus Falaris dominated that second round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

and Falaris counters with an outside leg kick.
Falaris throws a lazy uppercut

and Mexico counters with a takedown into side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Mexico trying to control the position but Falaris is working away.
Falaris managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Mexico.
Mexico working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Falaris is not content to let Mexico control the position.
Falaris is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Mexico has just dragged him back down to the mat.

Falaris dodges the ground and pound from Mexico.
Falaris is not in a great position here, taking some shots.
Mexico is looking to take a break and control but Falaris is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Mexico postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
A lull in the action here.
Mexico connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Falaris some visible discomfort.
Ron Mexico has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Falaris tries to escape but Mexico is in control.
Mexico scoring with punches and elbows.
Mexico misses with the ground and pound.
Mexico landing with strikes to the head and body from side control.
Falaris is pushing Mexico's head away, looking to escape. Mexico manages to hold on to the position though.
Mexico tries to score with some ground and pound. Falaris controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
Mexico has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Falaris wants to get back to his feet.
Mexico cracks Falaris with an elbow. That is naaassty.

The strikes coming from Mexico are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
Falaris knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Mexico on the ground.
Mexico is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Falaris pushes Mexico away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Mexico gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Mexico goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Falaris rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Mexico's guard! Nice work there by Falaris!

Ron Mexico comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Falaris has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
