PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Vick Armstrong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cat Litter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Vick Armstrong!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Cat Litter!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Armstrong lands a head kick. Litter smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Litter throws a nice looking combination but Armstrong bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Litter throws a shot from downtown. Armstrong moves away and avoids it.
Armstrong misses with a body shot

and Litter counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Armstrong's guard now.
Armstrong is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Litter slips nicely into half guard.
Armstrong tries to get to full guard but Litter has control of the leg.

Litter wants to lay and pray for a moment but Armstrong keeps working.

Litter tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Litter has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Litter is staying tight to Armstrong's torso, preventing him from escaping.
Armstrong is trying to get back to half guard.
Litter connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Armstrong some visible discomfort.
Armstrong manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.

Litter perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Litter throws a strike but Armstrong avoids it easily and moves to full guard.

Armstrong looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Litter working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.

Armstrong is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Litter defends well.
Armstrong lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Litter!

Litter tries to lock up and control but Armstrong gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Both fighters circling a little - Armstrong finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
Armstrong ducks under a wild hook from Litter.

and Armstrong counters with a flying knee. Nice.
Armstrong moves out of range of the strikes.
Litter shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Armstrong counters with a lovely shot to the body.

Armstrong throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Armstrong slips under a jab from Litter.
Armstrong buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

Armstrong throws a series of punches but Litter avoids them all with ease.

Litter bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Armstrong manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
Armstrong is just content to waste time from the top position. Litter takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
Litter utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Litter has his foot on Armstrong's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Armstrong works his way back into a safe position though.
Armstrong has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Armstrong is working an open guard so Litter takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Armstrong uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Litter.

Litter lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.

Cat Litter comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
