Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jorge Masdival (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Banana Split (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Banana Split is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Stewart Dunkirk and Tiny Johnson.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Masdival throws a sloppy head kick and Split moves out of range easily.
Split on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Masdival. Masdival obviously looking to wear him down.
Split looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Masdival pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Split closes the distance and clinches up with Masdival, looking for a takedown. Split pushes Masdival against the cage but Masdival circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Masdival fails to land with a series of punches.
Split shoots in but Masdival avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Split misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Masdival stalks Split and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Split's face. Split staggers backwards, shaken.
Split changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Masdival tries to avoid it but Split manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Masdival to the ground. Masdival escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

and Masdival connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Split has hold of Masdival's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Masdival manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Split is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Masdival is surviving well by controlling Split's body position as best he can.
Masdival tries to lock up and control but Split gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

That was a close second round but I would say that Jorge Masdival will probably get the nod.
That's time! Masdival's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Split tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Split has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
