PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Manee Masato (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gold Member (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Masato comes into the arena with Red Hot Chilli Peppers - Cant Stop blaring out of the sound system. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Masato fails with a takedown attempt.
Masato misses with a jab, cross combination.
Member throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and Masato counters with a crisp one two that drops Member! Masato thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Member to his feet! Member is in big trouble!
Masato fails with an attempt to clinch.
Masato wants to clinch.
Masato shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Member but Member pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Masato throws a series of punches but Member moves out of range.
Masato takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Member looks to land a left hand but Masato moved out of range nicely.
Member throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Masato dives in and grabs Member's left leg, looking for a takedown. Member pushes down on Masato's head and hops out.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Manee Masato. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Member connects with a nice looking jab.
Some wild striking there from Member.
Member throws a left and a right that both miss
and Masato counters with an outside leg kick.
Member looks gassed!

That's one minute gone in the round.
Masato tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Member manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Gold Member is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Member throws an off balance right hand
and Masato counters with a big head kick but Member shrugs it off.
A big left from Member misses.
Masato feints a jab and as Member dips his head, Masato unleashes a brutal head kick that catches Member right on the jaw! Timbeeer! Member falls backwards in slow motion, only propped up by the cage! Masato smiles a psychotic smile as he stares down his unconscious opponent. That is a scary man.
