Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jay Roc (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Karva Jorgos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Roc comes to the cage accompanied by J-Roc: Trailer Park Life. Jorgos has chosen Schnappi Das Kleine Krokodil as his entrance music. Jay Roc has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jay Roc!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Karva Jorgos!
The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Shirou Masuda and Yukihiro Shimada.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Roc throws a right hand that misses

and Jorgos counters with a nice double leg into side control. Roc won't be happy with that.

Jorgos tries for a kimura but Roc is defending well.
Roc is trying to get back to half guard.
Roc wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
Roc is looking to reverse the position.
Roc tries to control the position but he's not in luck - Jorgos easily slips into full mount!

Jorgos jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Roc is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Roc and Jorgos has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Jorgos prevents Roc from getting the reversal.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Roc has one foot on Jorgos's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.

Roc fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Jorgos looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Roc lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Karva Jorgos showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!


Jorgos is trying hard to land a takedown here. Roc sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Jorgos feints and then cracks Roc's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Roc down.

Jorgos has control of Roc's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Roc regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Roc escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Jorgos gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Jorgos bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Roc's guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Roc is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Roc looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Jorgos with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Roc throws a low kick, looking for Jorgos's leg but Jorgos calmly moves out of range.
Jorgos is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Roc rather than just go for the knockout.

Roc throws out a loose jab but Jorgos uses good head movement to avoid it.

Roc changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Jorgos tries to avoid it but Roc manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Jorgos to the ground. Jorgos escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Jorgos's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Roc connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Jorgos scrambles back to his feet.
