Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mike Portnoy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Robert Colquhoun (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Colquhoun is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: If You Want Blood (You've Got It). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Colquhoun goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Portnoy throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Colquhoun stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

and Colquhoun counters with a nice double leg into side control. Portnoy won't be happy with that.

Colquhoun shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Portnoy's guard.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Mike Portnoy.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Colquhoun avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Colquhoun takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Colquhoun looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Portnoy is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Portnoy, as that shot connected.

Portnoy throws out a loose jab but Colquhoun uses good head movement to avoid it.
Portnoy misses with a hook. Colquhoun ducked under it nicely.
Colquhoun keeps the fight on the outside.
Portnoy wants to clinch up but Colquhoun keeps it at a distance.
Colquhoun changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Portnoy tries to avoid it but Colquhoun manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Portnoy to the ground. Portnoy escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Portnoy, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
