Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Garry Cahil (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Karol Monano (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cahil fails with the takedown.
Cahil tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Monano manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Monano shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Cahil defends it nicely.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Monano is defended easily by Cahil.
Monano takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.

It looks like Karol Monano has been cut.
Cahil throws a series of punches but Monano avoids them all with ease.

Cahil tries to kick Monano off but Monano keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Monano wants to free his trapped foot but Cahil is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Cahil is working an open guard so Monano takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Garry Cahil seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Cahil dives in and grabs Monano's left leg, looking for a takedown. Monano pushes down on Cahil's head and hops out.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Monano breaks from the clinch.
Cahil tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Monano was well out of range. Poor timing from Cahil.

and Cahil counters by moving into the clinch.
Cahil is trying to break the clinch but Monano has him pressed against the cage.

Monano lands a jab-cross combination.
Cahil misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Monano lands with a slapping head kick.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Monano drives through and clinches with Cahil against the cage.

Monano's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Monano tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Cahil smiles and moves away.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Monano trying to stall but Cahil improves his position.
Cahil stops a takedown attempt from Monano.
Cahil throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Monano is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.

Monano breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
A head kick misses from Monano.
Cahil fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Monano checks it well.
Monano shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Cahil as he jumps to the side.
Garry Cahil is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Monano wants to clinch but Cahil slips to the side

and Cahil counters with a crisp right hand that drops Monano! Cahil lets Monano back up to his feet, looking for a finish!

Monano is rocked!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Cahil closes the distance looking for a takedown. Monano stuffs it but Cahil still has hold of him. Cahil picks Monano up in a fireman's lift! The crowd roars in approval. Cahil slams Monano to the floor and that's really hurt Monano - he doesn't know where he is! Cahil throws a couple of strikes and the referee steps in to save him! This one is in the books!
