Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Matthew Wispe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Danilo Pires (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Danilo Pires has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Matthew Wispe's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Danilo Pires!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, William Peck and Gregory Folan.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pires fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Wispe has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Wispe lands with an overhand left.
No luck for Pires with that takedown attempt.
Pires takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Pires slips a straight right by Wispe.
Pires looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Pires misses with a kick to the body
and Wispe counters with a good low kick that Pires was not able to check.
Pires takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Wispe misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Pires is looking to clinch.
Wispe takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Pires fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Wispe is out of range.
Pires tries to score a power double leg takedown but Wispe sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Pires somewhat.
Matthew Wispe has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Danilo Pires.
Wispe uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Pires has time to react.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Wispe cracks Pires with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
