PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Daniel Brooks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Moony (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Daniel Brooks!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, James Moony!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Daniel Bishop and Colin Fotheringham.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Moony shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Brooks but Brooks pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Brooks wants to clinch but Moony slips to the side
and Moony counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Moony closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Brooks to the mat! Brooks manages to get full guard.
Brooks is looking to stand up but Moony isn't so interested in that idea.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Moony stands up from Brooks's guard - Moony perhaps looking for a knockout.

and Moony decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Brooks's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
