Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kasim Akande (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mr Woo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Akande fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

Woo decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Akande has hold of Woo's hands but Woo slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Woo looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Akande with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Woo will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Woo remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Well Woo has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
