Dupont takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Bash fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Bash lands a jab to the head.
Dupont shoots and misses
and Bash counters with a series of strikes. Dupont will be more careful next time no doubt.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Bash takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Dupont changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Bash looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Bash is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Dupont asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Dupont wants to control but Bash is keeping him busy.
Dupont has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Bash!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Poor strikes thrown by Dupont there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Dupont takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Dupont is working close to his opponent, looking to work a submission by the looks of things. Oh, he's managed to get a guillotine from mount as his opponent reached up! That looks tiiiiight! Will he tap? YES, he's tapped! Impressive submission by Dupont!
