The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice uppercut there from Borisov.
Borisov connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Bass fails in his attempt to clinch.

Bass makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Bass's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

It looks like Emil Borisov has been cut.
Bass cracks Borisov with a solid left hand.
Bass postures up.

Bass gets to his feet. Borisov looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Borisov displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Bass.
Borisov swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Borisov looks gassed!
Borisov connects with a jab.
Bass drops his hands momentarily and Borisov takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

Borisov misses with a looping right.
Bass doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Bass fails with a takedown attempt.
Bass tries to score a power double leg takedown but Borisov sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Bass somewhat.

Bass fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Borisov avoids it really well and circles away.

Borisov is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Bass defends it well.

Horrible takedown by Bass or perhaps it was just good defense by Borisov which made him look bad.

Bass changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Borisov tries to avoid it but Bass manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Borisov to the ground. Borisov escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Bass lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
Bass tries to advance to mount but can't.
