Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Miklo Velka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Archie Bell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Velka's entrance music is Delinquent Habits - Tres Delinquentes. A fine choice. Bell comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Eminem - Almost Famous kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Miklo Velka!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Archie Bell!
The judges for this bout are , and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bell bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Velka's head backwards.
Bell misses with an uppercut.
Velka tries to clinch up but Bell circles away and keeps his distance.
A head kick misses from Velka.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bell misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Bell throws out a loose jab but Velka uses good head movement to avoid it.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Velka misses with a kick to the body.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Velka throws a lazy body kick
and Bell counters with a straight right hand.
Bell misses with a left hand
and Velka counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Velka moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Bell thows a leg kick but Velka checks it
and Velka counters with a nice body kick.
Velka misses with a kick to the body
and Bell counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Velka on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Bell misses with a looping left.
Bell misses with a looping left.
Bell throws a poor cross that misses
and Velka counters with a body kick.
Bell slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Bell misses with a hook
and Bell takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Bell moves out of range as Velka strikes.
Bell misses with a lunging right hand
and Velka counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Velka dodges the punch combination from Bell.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Miklo Velka dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Bell jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Bell rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Velka finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bell darts in and out, connecting with a jab.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Bell throws a lazy uppercut
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Bell throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Velka on the side of the head.
Velka tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Bell manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Velka is looking to land body kicks.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Velka looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Bell misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Velka counters with a nice body kick.
Velka delivers a nice body kick.
A swing and a miss from Bell.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Bell looks to land a left hand but Velka moved out of range nicely.
Nice jab there from Bell.
Jab from Bell.
Bell scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Bell scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
The fighters circling - Bell throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Bell takes a swing at Velka's ribcage but misses.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Miklo Velka will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!


Bell throws a big shot that misses.
A jab from Bell finds it's way through Velka's defenses.
A looping hook to the body misses from Bell. Velka does a little dance to reset his feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Velka misses with a kick to the body
and Bell counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Velka pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Velka looks to throw a body kick
and Bell counters with a straight right hand.
A swing and a miss from Velka.
Velka takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Bell misses with a hook
and Velka finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body.
Bell has developed a nice purple lump on his ribcage, as a result of some heavy body kicks from Velka.
A lazy body kick from Velka
and Bell counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Sloppy strikes from Bell. Those never looked like landing.
Velka misses with a shot to the body
letting Bell counter with a right hand.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Velka tries to clinch up but Bell circles away and keeps his distance.
Bell throws out a powerful jab.
Velka thuds his shin into the meat of Bell's side.
A jab from Velka does it's job there.
Archie Bell has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Velka's jab looks to have found its range, popping Bell under the eye.
Archie Bell seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bell misses with a two punch combination.
The fighters circling - Bell throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Miklo Velka.
Well Velka has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
