The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and Timothy Bukovac.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rook misses with a lunging right hand
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Rook throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Adonael counters with an outside leg kick.
Adonael tries to clinch up.

Adonael has taken the fight to the clinch.
With the two fighters working up against the cage, Adonael just misses with a elbow thrown towards Rook's brow.
Adonael creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Rook's defenses.

It looks like Bowman Rook has been cut.
Adonael lands a nice elbow from the clinch.
Rook wants to break the clinch but can't.
Rook has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Adonael avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Adonael 's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Adonael throws a quick inside leg kick.

Adonael lands with a kick to the temple. Rook shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

That has opened up Bowman Rook's cut even more.
Adonael looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Rook looks gassed!
Rook takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Adonael doesn't manage to clinch there - Rook circles away.
Adonael connects with a solid leg kick.
Adonael throws a front kick that sends Rook stumbling back into the cage.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Adonael .
Adonael throws a series of punches but Rook moves out of range.
Adonael with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Adonael throws a 1-2 combo that connects squarely on Rook's jaw, knocking him onto his back! Adonael dives in looking to finish as Rook flails his arms in a desperate attempt to block Adonael 's strikes! Adonael is raining down hammerfists and the ref stops it! Rook's desperate flailing just didn't constitute intelligent defence. Some people will probably question the ref's decision but Rook was definitely hurt and the ref saved him from taking unnecessary punishment. A fighter's safety is paramount in this sport.
