The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dela Cruz slaps away a takedown attempt from RIll, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Dela Cruz lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but RIll circles away quickly and effectively.
Dela Cruz throws an uppercut from half a mile away. RIll sees it coming and avoids it easily.
RIll throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Dela Cruz.
RIll avoids a punch combination nicely.
Charmaine Dela Cruz seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
RIll tries to clinch there but Dela Cruz circles away.
Dela Cruz misses with a jab, cross combination.
Dela Cruz will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
RIll changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Dela Cruz tries to avoid it but RIll manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Dela Cruz to the ground. Dela Cruz escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
RIll looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Dela Cruz is fending him off so far but RIll persists. Nope, Dela Cruz circles away and we're back to standing.
Charmaine Dela Cruz has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Raino RIll.

Dela Cruz throws a nice looking combination but RIll bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Dela Cruz stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Dela Cruz wants it to stay on the feet.
Dela Cruz scores with a one two! RIll had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

RIll sitting in guard doing not very much at all here. Dela Cruz doesn't need a second invitation though! He's locked up a guillotine and he's squeezing tight! That is tiiiiiiiiight! RIll paying the price for stalling here - he's pushing hard on the arm trying to free himself but it's no use! He's tapped! WOW, quick submission from Dela Cruz - great work!
