The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sumitani leaves Mackintier with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Mackintier shoots in for a double leg but Sumitani sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Sumitani cracks a nice hook into Mackintier's ribs.
Mackintier shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Sumitani as he jumps to the side.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Red Mackintier. That's going to take a lot out of him.
A nice inside leg kick there by Sumitani. That's going to slow Mackintier down.
Mackintier tries to clinch there but Sumitani circles away.
Mackintier shoots in for a double leg but Sumitani sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Sumitani throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Mackintier stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Mackintier is trying hard to land a takedown here. Sumitani sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Sumitani digs a good body shot into Mackintier's ribs.
Mackintier is breathing heavily.
Mackintier on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Mackintier closes the distance but Sumitani moves to the side
and Sumitani counters with a straight punch to the midsection.

Sumitani dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Sumitani's corner calls for a 1-2. Sumitani obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Sumitani throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Mackintier. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
Sumitani fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Mackintier has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Sumitani throws a front kick that sends Mackintier stumbling back into the cage.

Sumitani is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Mackintier rather than just go for the knockout.

Sumitani lands a big head kick that sends Mackintier tumbling to the mat! Sumitani takes a step backwards and waves Mackintier back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Oh Mackintier is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Sumitani pushes Mackintier away with a front kick.
Mackintier is keeping his hands low and just asking to be knocked out. Sumitani Raises his leg and lands a stunning axe kick! Mackintier is out cold, face down on the mat!
