The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ikeda lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

Minowa throws a left that rocks Ikeda and follows with a right that sends him tumbling to the canvas! Minowa dives into side control, looking to finish! Can Ikeda regain composure!

Ikeda is rocked!

It looks like Renji Ikeda has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Ikeda is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.

Ikeda throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Minowa cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Ikeda slips a straight right by Minowa.
Ikeda throws a shot from downtown. Minowa moves away and avoids it.
Sloppy strikes from Minowa. Those never looked like landing.
Minowa throws a lazy uppercut
and Ikeda counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Ikeda rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Minowa moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Minowa lands a big shot that drops Ikeda! Can he finish him?

That has opened up Renji Ikeda's cut even more.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Ikeda can do anything to dispel that myth.
Ikeda looks gassed!

Minowa stands and steps away. Ikeda gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Minowa misses with an uppercut.
Ikeda rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Minowa moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Minowa swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Some wild striking there from Ikeda.
Minowa takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Ikeda fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Minowa walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Ikeda drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! Minowa swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Ikeda's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!
