Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Ultimo Mysterio (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yuri Gagarin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Felipe Paraventi and Matheus Silva.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gagarin gets a clinch.
Gagarin using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Mysterio has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Gagarin lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Mysterio lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Gagarin pushes Mysterio off looking to stand but Mysterio dives back in and keeps control.
Gagarin is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Mysterio pulls his head out easily.

Gagarin is trying to maintain the position but Mysterio is very close to passing his half guard.

Gagarin pushes Mysterio off looking to stand but Mysterio dives back in and keeps control.

Gagarin is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Still in half guard, Mysterio seems content to control.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Ultimo Mysterio.
Mysterio takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Mysterio circles away from the clinch attempt
and Mysterio counters with a single leg into guard. Gagarin didn't expect that.

Still in half guard, Mysterio seems content to control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We're going to have a standup here because Ultimo Mysterio wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Mysterio closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Gagarin quickly recovers to half guard.
Mysterio is breathing heavily.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Mysterio with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
Mysterio knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Gagarin on the ground.
Gagarin moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Gagarin had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Mysterio defends it easily.
Mysterio has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Mysterio is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Gagarin is trying to keep Mysterio in close.
Gagarin working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Mysterio doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Mysterio manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Gagarin is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Mysterio is aware though and is defending well.

Gagarin is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Mysterio gets to his feet. Gagarin looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Mysterio.
Mysterio shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Gagarin napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Mysterio trying to control the position but Gagarin is working away.
You can see the frustration on Gagarin's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Gagarin is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Mysterio is controlling him well.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Gagarin is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ultimo Mysterio dominated that round.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Mysterio gets tackled into the cage by Gagarin. Gagarin maintains the clinch.
Gagarin is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Mysterio is defending well for now.
Mysterio breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Yuri Gagarin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Horrible takedown by Mysterio or perhaps it was just good defense by Gagarin which made him look bad.
Mysterio throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Gagarin was covering up waiting for the punch and Mysterio finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Mysterio got a little sloppy there for a moment and Gagarin has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Mysterio has managed to get both his arms back between Gagarin's legs - danger averted.
Mysterio wants to stand but Gagarin is controlling his posture from full guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Mysterio won't allow Gagarin to get back to his feet.

Gagarin is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.
Gagarin not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Mysterio slips nicely into half guard.
Gagarin is trying to stand up here but Mysterio is controlling him well.
Gagarin trying to hold on to Mysterio's head to control him but Mysterio postures up.
Mysterio wants to advance to full mount but Gagarin doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead.
Gagarin looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Mysterio trying to control the position from guard on top but Gagarin is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Gagarin is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a tringle but Mysterio frees his head nicely. Oh but Gagarin has switched to an armbar! Mysterio is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
