PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ernst Blofeld (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tony Tiger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Blofeld's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Battlefield 1943. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tiger throws a front kick aimed at Blofeld's knee but Blofeld avoids it well.
Blofeld pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Blofeld fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Tiger to the ground. Blofeld is now in Tiger's guard.
Tiger looking for a sweep. Not yet Tiger, not yet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Blofeld wants to control from the top but Tiger keeps moving.

Blofeld is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Tiger wants to stand up but Blofeld is controlling him.

Blofeld drops back looking for a leg! Tiger is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Tiger manages to kick Blofeld off! Blofeld jumps back into Tiger's guard.

Blofeld is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Tiger is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Tiger has escaped and now he's on top!

Tiger stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Blofeld swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Tiger wants to get back to his feet but Blofeld is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Blofeld is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Tiger is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Blofeld tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Blofeld has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Blofeld wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Tiger, who protects the arm well.

Blofeld is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Tiger knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Tiger gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Ernst Blofeld overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Tiger is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Blofeld has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Tiger is looking to defend but Blofeld has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Tiger! Blofeld pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Tiger taps out and this one is all over!
