Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ivan Gamaz!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jon Jones!
The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Fedor Mirinova and Viktor Lagutenko.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Gamaz throws out a leg kick but Jones moves out of range and Gamaz only half commits.

and Jones counters with a single leg into guard. Gamaz didn't expect that.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Jones is on top in guard.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Jones is defended easily by Gamaz.

Jones shoots in looking for a takedown but Gamaz manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Jones's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Gamaz really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Gamaz stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

Jones has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Jones has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Gamaz finds it's way round the side to connect with Jones's head.

Gamaz might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

I wouldn't like to be where Gamaz is right now.

Gamaz on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Gamaz tries to get out of the position.
Gamaz tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Gamaz parries the strikes from Jones easily there. Jones is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Gamaz to escape.
Gamaz knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Jones on the ground.
Gamaz is trying to control Jones's posture but Jones avoids it.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Jones lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Gamaz sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Jones thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Gamaz's head.
Jones is looking to stall here but Gamaz recovers full guard.

Gamaz wants to control the position but Jones says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jon Jones showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Gamaz holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Jones tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.

Jones postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Gamaz looks a forlorn figure.

Gamaz wants to control but Jones is having none of it.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Jon Jones comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Jones winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
