Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Simon Browne!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 12 - 0, fighting out of London, John Doe!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Paul Tew and Sam Margolis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jab by Doe.
Browne with a poor takedown

and Doe counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Browne!
Browne tries to reverse the position but Doe maintains control.
Browne is working hard here to advance position.
Doe takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Browne is wriggling around trying to escape.

Doe is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Browne has managed to escape the submission attempt.

Doe is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Browne can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

and Doe counters with a good, hard body kick but Browne shrugs it off.
Simon Browne seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Doe fakes the leg kick and cracks Browne in the body.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Browne gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Doe counters with a head kick.

Browne closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Browne lands in his opponent's guard.
Doe is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Browne is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Doe is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Doe has escaped and now he's on top!

Doe closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Browne did well to prevent Doe getting side control.

Doe has gone for a leg lock! Browne slips out almost immediately though and dives into Doe's guard.
Browne throws a big right hand that misses.
Doe is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Browne wants to control from the top but Doe keeps moving.
Doe wants to stand but Browne is controlling the position.
John Doe has got the better of the ground game so far.
Browne stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Doe swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Browne throws a strike but Doe rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Doe wants to get up but he can't break Browne's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Doe is breathing heavily.

Doe got a little sloppy there for a moment and Browne has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Doe has managed to get both his arms back between Browne's legs - danger averted.
Doe stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Browne swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Browne wants to get back to his feet but Doe is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

John Doe showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

and Doe counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

and Doe counters by moving into the clinch.

Doe breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Doe gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Browne regains guard.
Doe works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Browne on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.

so Doe counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Doe's corner calls for a 1-2. Doe obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Crunch! Doe slams his shin into Browne's torso.
Doe plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Doe lands a head kick. Browne smiles back at him and beckons him forward.

Doe shoots in and gets a takedown into Browne's guard.

Browne pushes Doe off and scrambles back to his feet.
Browne has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Doe.

Doe throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Browne's head.
Browne gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Doe counters with a good low kick that Browne was not able to check.
Browne takes one to the side of the head.
Doe closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Doe stalks Browne and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Browne's face. Browne staggers backwards, shaken.
Doe has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Browne shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Doe counters with a single leg into guard. Browne didn't expect that.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Doe is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Doe must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

John Doe comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Doe has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
