Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Shirou Masuda and Yasuomi Hirokawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alves throws the left hand but Marko avoids the punch easily.
Sloppy strikes from Alves. Those never looked like landing.
Alves misses with a wild body shot.
Alves shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Marko takes one on the button.
Marko darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Alves trying to hold on to Marko's head to control him but Marko postures up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Marko content to control rather than advance.

Marko takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

Alves tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Marko has advanced to mount. Uh oh.

Marko lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Marko lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Alves hang on?

Marko connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Alves is in a horrible position here. Marko smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Marko has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Alves's face.
Alves is rocked!
Marko is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Alves can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Marko postures up and connects with a big shot that has rocked Alves badly. He's trying desperately to grab hold of Marko around the waist but Marko pushes him off and unloads with more strikes, forcing the referee to jump in and save him! Marko is the winner by TKO! Marko jumps onto the cage and shouts into the camera. "We did it momma!"
