Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Johan Andersonn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Damian BLaszczak (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Damian BLaszczak will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Johan Andersonn!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Damian BLaszczak!
The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Roosa Järviläinen and Johanna Lukiainen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
An inside leg kick lands from Andersonn.

Andersonn shoots in and bounces BLaszczak off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
BLaszczak pulls Andersonn in to control the position.
BLaszczak trying to keep a closed guard but Andersonn is proving a slippery customer.
Andersonn's corner is telling him to maintain position.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Damian BLaszczak.
Andersonn tries to grapple but his opponent circles

and BLaszczak counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
BLaszczak wants to stand but Andersonn is controlling his posture from full guard.

Andersonn wants to sweep here but BLaszczak controlling him for the moment.
Andersonn managing to control the position.
Andersonn has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but BLaszczak has passed into side control.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Andersonn sneaks out the side door and pushes BLaszczak away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.

Andersonn darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Andersonn throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Andersonn moves nicely into side control.
BLaszczak tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Andersonn decides to stand up, so the ref orders BLaszczak to his feet.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Andersonn enables BLaszczak to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Andersonn manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Andersonn is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and BLaszczak defends well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Andersonn looking for submissions from the bottom but instead BLaszczak passes into side control.
BLaszczak is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.

Andersonn manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Andersonn moves into full guard.
Andersonn manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Johan Andersonn will probably get the nod.
That's time! Andersonn's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.



BLaszczak bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

BLaszczak wants to control but Andersonn is keeping him busy.
Andersonn is looking to reverse the position.
Andersonn gets back to half guard.
Andersonn slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Andersonn is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst BLaszczak is controlling him.

Andersonn manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Andersonn wants to control the pace but BLaszczak is squirming around nicely.
Andersonn pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

Andersonn goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now BLaszczak is on top in guard.

Andersonn is trying to improve his position.

Andersonn sneaks back into half guard.
Andersonn has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. BLaszczak is working away from the top position though.
Andersonn is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Johan Andersonn overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
BLaszczak lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Andersonn is looking to improve his position.
BLaszczak is thwarting Andersonn's attempts to control the position.

Andersonn actively working from the bottom here.
Andersonn is looking to escape.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Damian BLaszczak will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!



BLaszczak shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than BLaszczak was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
BLaszczak lands a nice shot to the head.
Andersonn looking to escape from mount but he's given up his back!
BLaszczak just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.
Andersonn wants to escape the position.
Andersonn looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment.

Andersonn turns into BLaszczak and is now in his guard.
Andersonn sitting in guard here, content to control.

BLaszczak pushes Andersonn off and scrambles back to his feet.

BLaszczak dives in and scores a takedown into Andersonn's guard.
BLaszczak takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Andersonn looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! BLaszczak has picked Andersonn up and slammed him! Andersonn can't keep hold of the triangle and BLaszczak manages to pass to side control!

BLaszczak wants to lay and pray for a moment but Andersonn keeps working.
Andersonn manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
BLaszczak is concentrating on defense, preventing Andersonn from advancing position.

Andersonn looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Andersonn prevents BLaszczak from improving his position.

BLaszczak wants to control but Andersonn is keeping busy.
Andersonn is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Andersonn is looking to take a break and control but BLaszczak is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
BLaszczak is in trouble now - Andersonn has advanced to mount!
Andersonn cracks BLaszczak with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
BLaszczak tries to reverse the position but Andersonn maintains control.

Andersonn is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but BLaszczak is surviving well by controlling Andersonn's body position as best he can.
BLaszczak tries to hold on but Andersonn postures up.
Andersonn tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

And that's the end of the fight!
Damian BLaszczak comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think BLaszczak has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
