Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mondo Marcio (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Damon Pierce (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pierce has chosen Eve 6 - Inside Out as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. The key to victory for Mondo Marcio has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Marcio tries a head kick but it misses.

Pierce closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Marcio quickly recovers to half guard.
Pierce is pressing down on Marcio's thigh, looking to free his foot. Marcio is holding on for now.
Marcio pushes Pierce off looking to stand but Pierce dives back in and keeps control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Pierce seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Marcio might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Pierce bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Marcio's guard.
Pierce stands up over Marcio, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Pierce drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Marcio manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Pierce has Marcio in his guard.

Pierce takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
A looping hook to the body misses from Marcio. Pierce does a little dance to reset his feet.

Pierce had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Marcio defends it easily.
Pierce is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Pierce has control of Marcio's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Marcio regains control of the situation pretty easily.
